Workshops for Contractors of the EHSS

The EV-charging at Home Subsidy Scheme (“EHSS”) is well received since its launch in October 2020. In order to meet the public demand, the Government has further injected an additional funding of $1.5 billion to the original $2 billion EHSS in the 2022-23 Budget, to extend the EHSS for four years to the 2027-28 financial year. It is anticipated that the entire $3.5 billion EHSS will be able to support installation of EV charging‑enabling infrastructure ("EVCEI") for some 140,000 parking spaces in about 700 car parks of the existing private residential buildings.

All electrical contractors on the EHSS Consultants / Contractors List are encouraged to tender for contractor services for carrying out the installation of EVCEI in car parks of the applicants of the EHSS. To facilitate your participation in the tendering exercises conducted by the EHSS applicants on the EHSS Open E-tendering Platform administered by the Urban Renewal Authority ("URA"), the EPD will conduct two identical on-line workshops to enhance your understanding on the requirements of the installation works of EVCEI under the EHSS, and the requirements and procedures for participating in the tendering exercises on the Open E-tendering Platform. Details of the workshops are as follows:

1st Session (Cantonese) 
Date: 20 December, 2022 (Tuesday)
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 

2nd Session (Cantonese) 
Date: 20 December, 2022 (Tuesday) 
Time: 15:00 p.m. – 16:00 p.m. 

The two workshops will be conducted by ZOOM on-line conference, and the registration is free of charge. Priority will be given to those on the EHSS Consultants List and / or Contractors List, and if there are vacancies left, the places will be allocated to other persons who have registered on a first-come-first-served basis.
